Once i had invested in a new awning...decided to get some camping in
Hollows Farm
Fist was hollows farm in grange over sands.....beautiful place the owners were sound....no fires but no problem with you having a small fire down next to the river on the rocks....we took some booze and the guitar coz were were out the way we could be as noisy as we wanted no shop but toilets and shower on site...and you can walk to the bowder stone takes about 20 minutes, ended up visiting the site a few times

Seathwaite
theres a nice campsite in seathwaite called sykes farm.....again the owners were champion they alowed you to have small fires in the field and again wernt bothered about noise...I think we upset a few other campers playing football at 3 in the morning after a few beers...shop on site wich done lush ice cream toilets and showers...river ran along side the site too and a waterall coming down the side of the mountain wich you could clime up and swim in some of the rock pools if ye dont mind getting a bit wet..again ended up going back several times

Alnmouth
We stayed on the west side beach your not really supposed to camp there but there was a few people staying in their vans...it was beautiful had a BBQ on the beach a few beers once it got late the mist of the sea rolled in and you couldnt see a thing...
Leeds music festival
Been to the festival loads but this was the first time i took the van, previous years having to park up the car and carry all ye camping gear crates of larger food the lot for a few mile it was mint just being able to drive on the site n park up....you were only alowed gas on the camper van site wich if you dont want to survice on burgers and chips for 5 days is handy to have....mint line up to those crooked vultures radiohead prodigy yeah yeah yeahs....florence and the machine deftones faith no more...
only bad thing though its the furthest campsite away from the arena but ye can always have a few cans on the way in.
cant wait for the weather to sort its self out so get away more this year |
